All last week we were madly cleaning and setting up the shearing shed and barn in preparation for this week. We have 2 shearing times this year this week (Tues - Thurs) which is more of a refresher for Barb (the shearer) and for her to learn a new technique that should make the process a little quicker and easier. The 2nd time is our official shearing week and is June 3-5. We are still looking for volunteers for both times. Don't worry if you've never done anything like it before - neither have I, so we'll learn together. We provide snacks, drinks and meals and the promise of a good time.
If you think you'd like to join us, give Barb a call at 705-507-1197.

Need some fertilizer for your garden to get it ready for the spring planting? We have freshly "harvested" alpaca beans, bagged and ready to go!
Alpaca ‘Beans’ are a great soil enhancer that allows your garden to be natural, organic and chemical free. Unlike other animal manures, alpaca beans don't have a strong smell so they can be used inside on your potted plants as well as in your garden.
